African Refuge is a community-based
program that promotes and develops crucial linkages between the
African immigrant and refugee community, underserved families and
main-stream social service providers in New York City. Through our
Community Drop-In Center, African Refuge provides
outreach and education, information and referral services, and family
and youth support programs for refugees, immigrants and underserved
populations in Staten Island. We are a program of Refuge, Inc.,
community based project of the International
Trauma Studies Program.
We aspire to create a space where youth can develop to the fullest
potential - a space where family and youth may be empowered to help
themselves. Our goal is to make a difference in the life of every
family and youth that come through our doors. |
